Oh how I love this kit
The photos are by Jill W. and they are wonderful!
I had the thought of Cinderella coming out of the window or photo. She and Tigger both come to life in full color in this “Dream that Pops.” I also have Jiminy Cricket coming into the scene through the floor. A lot of extracting a burning and duplicating. (I used the alpha to get the oval shape )
The photo of the parade is the backdrop to this room (Kinda like one of those pop up cards) and I created the title “POP” from the alpha and also used my own text.
The “S” in the title DREAMs was also added by creating a piece from the page in the book in the kit. Using the burn and adding shadows to get the same look – I also used the same font Nicole used when creating this.
The balloons are just a hallmark of Disney. I popped over at their site and I was hit with the balloons. By using the alpha, removing the letter and then coloring in the layer below each clear balloon I was able to get the effect of a Mickey Mouse balloon. (I duplicated and stretched the ovals) The string of the balloons is pulled from the string in the clouds. The inner shadow of Mickey is actually a letter, typed. (I found a ‘mouse” font.)
I used this technique also for the castle in the bottom text. I found a font (dingbat) that was just castles – colored in the letter and viola! Instant castle.
To top it all off I used my brushes to add some starry effects. Thanks for your vote!
