Contemporary Filipino Interiors : Indigenous Roots (Arturo Barriatos Bernas Jr.)

Description:

The Philippine School of Interior Design is proud to present Kontempo-Pilipino, an interior design exhibit that focuses on Philippine Indigenous roots as an environment from which Filipino contemporary design is born. The exhibit centers on finding inspiration in Filipino indigenous communities as a spring board to which Filipino design can be achieved and as a result Contemporary Filipino design is created. The culture, crafts, colors and character of seventeen indigenous groups selected from the entire Philippine archipelago takes center stage as graduating students from the Philippine School of Interior Design transform the aboriginal to the avant-garde, the simple to the sophisticated, the primitive to the progressive, to bring forth the current and the contemporary in Filipino design. The exhibit, through the assistance of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts also aims to create awareness on Philippine indigenous culture and bring to the fore its importance and relevance in today

wow, I think this one is really well executed. Only minor problem is that there are so many people in the picture, it’s hard to concentrate on the subject of the photo but the design of this page is indicative of someone who’s very artistic and talented
