Description:
For Mom (Jolis DeAngelis) My mom passed away last Thursday, May 20, 2010. This page shows my love for her. The baby picture is her in 1934-ish. Isn't she just the sweetest? The faded backdrop photo was taken in the '80's sometime. My mom's favorite color was teal and she had an undying love of butterflies. Renee, you created the perfect kit for her! I used Renee's background, grunge and I used the crackle as a mask for one of her lighter backgrounds. I used the frame as a mask and cut it from another of the backgrounds. I sepia-toned the floral and butterfly elements to match the page. I added a bit of grunge I got from www.fudgegraphics.com. The font used is Mutlu. Under the photo on the frame is "1933-2010" Mom, I love you SO much!

The time and involvement in your project expresses the love for your mother most eloquently. Just know, from one who has experienced this sort of loss, that by continuing to create beauty in her honor will bring you through this to serenity.

What a warm, lovely tribute to your mother! The adorable baby picture is complimented by the image of the beautiful woman and the colors tie past and present in a very pleasing way. I hope working on this tribute replaced a measure of your sorrow with a measure of joy; it may have begun as a labor of love, but completed it is a monument to love.

Sorry to hear of your loss I know what you are going through as I lost my Mum 12 mths ago last November, and I have scrapped so many pages of her, like you I loved her dearly. This is a beautiful tribute to your Mother.
