During my creative process in these pages, I wanted to keep a cohesive look to them by keeping with the same color scheme. Color can express so much and I really wanted vibrant, happy colors in my pages to evoke the feelings of our family campout!
I plan on creating an entire bound book with Shutterfly so that my children can always look at these photos of our camping trip. With this in mind, I made a point to keep the photos and journaling in line with what happened on our trip; roasting starbursts; hanging out with the cousins; playing with the puppy and just enjoying nature!
One thing I love about the Bamboo Fun Tablet is that it gives me the ability to add my own handwriting and doodling on my digital scrapbook pages. While I enjoy playing and creating with type; I also love to add the ‘homemade’ feel to my pages by adding my own handwriting and doodling! This is something that will be fun for my children to see later on in life, too! I’m creating an heirloom!
Another great aspect of the Bamboo Fun is the ability it gives me to edit photos. I was able to carefully change colors of my son’s shirt to match the papers I used. I also was able to Clone out some things in photos that were a bit distracting! I love the Pen and how it feels in my hand; so natural! It is FUN! Bamboo Fun!
Family + Art + Teaching. This unique combination is what Rhonna enjoys most about digital scrapbooking. A wife and mother of three young children, there’s never any shortage of inspiration or creative material.
As a designer in the greeting cards/gift industry, digital scrapbooking was a logical evolution for Rhonna. In 2004, she won the Creating Keepsake’s Hall of Fame contest. She spent two years working as Creative Director for Digital Scrapbooking Magazine. And she currently works with Two Peas in a Bucket and serves on the Shutterfly Advisory Board.
In addition to her career as an artist, Rhonna has a degree in Art Education and has taught both nationally and internationally. Her book, “Enjoy the Process,” will be released at the end of the year.
